Position Description:
A global legal consulting firm seeks a Managing Director to oversee operations within the United States while working closely with members of leadership in other global locations. This position will involve consulting with clients on all facets of legal operations, including organizational structures, office build-outs, technical systems, processes, and internal policies. The MD will be tasked with providing COO advisory services to clients, supporting recruitment efforts, and managing and mentoring a team of professionals. Additionally, this person will be responsible for coordinating with the leadership team on reporting, strategic planning, and the execution of key initiatives.
Position Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have extensive experience in law firm operations, including proven experience as a COO or CFO, Director of Operations, or Director of Administration. This person must have an entrepreneurial nature, strong client service mindset, and a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of legal environments. The qualified Managing Director will have proven abilities in developing teams, building out offices, and establishing positive rapport with internal and external clients. This person should also be proactive and flexible to travel as needed. An advanced degree such as a JD or MBA is very strongly preferred.
