Position Description:
An affordable housing developer/investor is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join the in-house Legal Department. This position involves supporting attorneys with all facets of commercial real estate transactions, including entity formation, title and survey review, and due diligence, as well as handling closing and post-closing processes. The RE Paralegal will be responsible for finalizing title policies with title companies, preparing signature page packets, and organizing closing indices and binders. This person will also be tasked with tracking ongoing checklists, tracking budgets, and working collaboratively to resolve any issues that arise.
Position Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of paralegal experience with a focus on real estate transactions. The qualified applicant will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to draft documents in a timely and accurate manner. The organization seeks a team player with a proactive work ethic who can represent the organization to outside parties.
