Position Description:
This Research Specialist role is a terrific opportunity for a qualified candidate to join a leading law firm. The position will involve conducting extensive corporate and SEC research, including gathering background information on corporations, individuals, and specific transactions, using a variety of print and online resources. The Research Specialist will also support the Litigation Department by retrieving and reviewing dockets, pleadings, and case information. Furthermore, this person will be tasked with creating alerts to track relevant breaking news, training new hires on the firm’s research services, and evaluating new resources, as well as submitting research requests to external parties as needed.

Required Skills:
This position requires at least three years of research experience in a law firm or financial services firm, and a Master’s Degree in Library Science is strongly preferred. This person should be well-versed in a variety of research platforms, including Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law & Terminal, Capital IQ, FactSet, and CourtLink, with the ability to quickly learn new systems as needed. The Research Specialist must be able to work independently and demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Annual Salary (US$): 120,000-140,000 /annual
