Position Description:
The Assistant Managing Attorney will work closely with the Managing Attorney to ensure the continued success of the firm’s Litigation Practice. The person in this role will help oversee a team in the maintenance of the firm’s docket, the preparation of the litigation calendar, and the coordination of all e-filing activities. The Assistant Managing Attorney will be responsible for offering procedural guidance to all litigators as well as providing training to attorneys, new team members, and other firm personnel. Additional responsibilities will include calendaring filing deadlines, drafting legal documents, and alerting the attorneys of upcoming matters, in addition to effectively resolving any issues that arise.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will possess a keen interest in joining the Managing Attorney’s office. A JD is required along with admission to the New York State Bar. A strong knowledge of federal, state, and local court rules is necessary, along with proficiency in electronic filing and calendaring procedures. Other required attributes include strong leadership skills, a proactive and strategic approach, and the ability to apply a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Annual Salary (US$): 180,000-250,000 /annual
