Position Description:
A new opportunity is available for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a leading law firm in Midtown Manhattan. This person will be tasked with overseeing the firm’s procurement process, establishing supplier relationships, and identifying ways to reduce costs while meeting the firm’s business requirements. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for conducting negotiations with vendors, reviewing incoming requests from departmental leaders, and managing renewals. This position will involve reviewing all invoices for accuracy, identifying and sourcing new supplies, and ensuring optimal levels of inventory are maintained. This person will also oversee the firm’s procurement software, including any upgrades or user changes.
Position Requirements:
This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of similar experience within a law firm or professional services setting, including three years in a supervisory capacity. This person will have demonstrated purchasing experience, exceptional communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach. The Purchasing Manager should also be an innovative problem-solver who can work well independently.
